This workshop is tailored specifically for postdocs and more advanced PhD students who are considering submitting a proposal for any type of grant. You will have the opportunity to evaluate and develop your project idea and your proposal inlight of the requirements of the funding agency. [more]
The goal of this workshop is to give you an overview on the services and tools, modern Synchrotron Light Sources Facilities provide to their users, to show how these are related with your research work, to show how you can get started and finally to guide you through the application process for beamtime. The format is a mixture between lectures and interaction forums in which all participants are expected to discuss details and ask questions to correlate your own research life to the opportunities described in the talks. The workshop will end with an exercise, in which groups of 3-4 scientists will write a proposal for which the group decides the subject. All proposals will be also reviewed by the other groups and the reviews will be discussed within an open table. [more]

IMPRS Retreat 2024

The IMPRS-STNS students meet from 22-25 September for their annual retreat at Elbresidenz in Bad Schandau. The program is organized by the IMPRS student committee. [more]
The Research School Network Halle invites all participating doctoral researchers to the third summer meeting. Doctoral researchers from research schools in the field of Natural Sciences and Agricultural and Food Economics have the opportunity to get into contact in a stimulating atmosphere, which fosters exchange and creates opportunities for collaborations. The meeting starts with an interactive workshop on generative AI for science and ends with a get-together. Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided for free, alcoholic beverages will be available for a small fee. PIs and postdocs are welcome! [more]
