Conditions of access and use for electronic journals

Access to licensed electronic journals is only possible within the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics. The IP addresses are synchronised. For use outside the Institute, please use the proxy service.

Please note the terms of use of the respective publisher. In general:

  • Access to the full texts is only permitted to members of the Max Planck Society.
  • The full texts of the articles may only be printed out or saved for personal use and for research purposes.
  • Systematic downloading of articles or search results, in particular by robots, is prohibited.
  • Articles may not be passed on to third parties either electronically or in printed form.

National licences

In order to sustainably improve the supply of electronic specialist information at German universities, research institutions and scientific libraries, the German Research Foundation (DFG) has been funding the acquisition of national licences for electronic media since 2004 as part of its funding programme "Supra-regional literature supply and national licences".

The aim of the programme is to provide researchers, students and private individuals interested in science with access to databases, digital text collections, electronic journals and e-books.

Eight institutions have concluded the nationwide licence agreements with learned societies, publishers and other information providers. These eight institutions are also the contact partners for the provision of data.

Further information on the national licences can be found at www.nationallizenzen.de
